kimberly asked me to photograph brylee's birth story. i have to tell you, it was the most amazing experience to be in the room when a new life entered the world. i always hear mothers talking about how much love they feel as soon as the baby is born. to me it always seemed so unreal. how could you just instantly love someone? it's very real. the moment we saw her we were all in awe. she really was the most beautiful baby i have ever laid eyes on. we were all in love. we could all feel it. it was the most beautiful experience. while it was rough, long and exhausting for kimberly i also have felt a sliver of the joy that a child brings. to me that is priceless. to me it will always be sacred.
i am grateful to kimberly and morgan for trusting me with this great responsibility.
the next day we went to visit and bring the new parents some much needed in-n-out burger.
then it was time to go home.
then, a couple weeks later we did a newborn shoot...
